Fig. 3. Not only has repeated ploughing over the centuries destroyed Iron Age farmsteads at Ruyton, but their eastern earth-works have been obliterated as the Dee has eroded river terraces, the line of which is marked by the trees.  All this has important implications for recovering the site of Bangor's monastery.
